The Institute of Informatics and Development (IID) has signed a contract with UC Berkeley to carry out two nationwide surveys on behalf of the University. The survey is designed to collect  data collection from BRAC’s Dabi Loan Program clients regarding their everyday expenses and general lifestyle. The participants of the baseline survey consisted of clients from 200 branches of BRAC microfinance programs. The same participants will be surveyed again in the end-line survey. IID used hand-held tabs to conduct the survey  for greater accuracy of information, timeliness, and cost-efficiency. The first round of data collection was completed mid June, 2016 and the expected completion date of the second round is mid January, 2017.
