IID has partnered with BRAC’s Social Innovation Lab to carry out a Feasibility analysis of using mobile money in the financial transactions of six programs of BRAC. The study identified the challenges and costs of cash based transactions of those programs provided by BRAC that currently operate on a cash basis and explored the scope and benefits of using mobile money. The extent of benefits for BRAC beneficiaries from introduction of mobile money transfers also assessed by this study. This research involved Key informant interviews (KII), focus group discussions (FGDs), field-survey and desk research.
