Collaborate and explore new intervention areas

PROKAS approach of collaborative action remain crucial for it’s partner organizations to design and implement programs that are non-redundant and well-coordinated.

Scope of collaborative action were discussed at the ‘Brainstorming and Coordination meeting’ held at IID on 10th September 2018. Representatives from PROKAS team and all Fairer Labour Migration (FLM) partners attended the event.

Collaborative activities and potential areas of partnership among other partners and the impact of upcoming election on PROKAS activities were discussed at the event. Through group discussions, participants updated the FLM power map and risk mitigation strategies. New areas of intervention within ‘Climate induced migration’ and way forward beyond the project ending were also discussed by the FLM partners.

Among others, the coordination meeting was attended by Nicola Dahrendorf, Team Leader , PROKAS, Syed Saiful Haque, Chairman & Founder Member WARBE Development Foundation, Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Director (Social Development), Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), Sumaiya Islam, Director Bangladeshi Ovhibashi Mohila Sramik Association (BOMSA), Marina Sultana Director Programme, Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) and Syeed Ahamed, CEO, IID.

The meeting ended with an overview of the key decisions including following up the Climate Migration Governance (CMG) initiatives and Gender-mainstreaming and social inclusion action plan to be drafted with partners consultation that came out from group discussions and activities.
