IID, in partnership with ActionAid Bangladesh, organized a Policy Forum on sustainable production and consumption on Saturday 27 August 2016 in Chittagong.
Keeping in mind the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and following the theme of this year’s international youth day, the discussion at the forum focused on the Road to 2030 and youth entrepreneurs in sustainable production. It also focused on the leading role of young people in ensuring poverty eradication and achieving sustainable development through sustainable consumption and production. The purpose of this forum was to understand the issues and needs of the young entrepreneurs so that they can contribute to sustainable development.
Senior and young business leaders, political leaders, government officials and development practitioners of Chittagong attended the event.
