IID & BMET signed an MoU to promote evidence based policy advocacy. The MoU aims to create awareness among aspirant and current migrant workers for safe and orderly labor migration.
The MoU was signed on the 17th February, 2019 between IID and BMET at BMET office in Kakrail, Dhaka. CEO of IID Syeed Ahamed and Director (Training) of BMET Dr. Md. Nurul Islam signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
The agreement includes research collaboration in publishing BMET annual report and reviewing & publishing the Pre-Departure Training (PDT) contents. It also includes encouraging community leadership, using youth volunteers at local Technical Training Centers to introduce ICT based solutions to aspirant migrants.
This MoU represents the partnership agreement between IID and BMET to work together on strategic collaboration for the next two years to achieve the mutually agreed goals.
IID and BMET have been working together since January 2018 in order to ensure safer and fairer labour migration.
