“National curriculum and text board producing traditional and impractical textbooks”

Rasheda K Choudhury, former adviser to the caretaker government, termed textbooks of National Curriculum and Text Board traditional and impractical in comparison with competitive progressive education at an Undialogue on “Education Financing in Bangladesh” held on September 5, 2012 by IID in partnership with Action Aid Bangladesh.

Another former advisor to the caretaker government present at the event Dr.Hossain Zillur Rahman, emphasized on education quality to make proper use of the national education financing. The session was attended by academicians, researchers, and civil society representatives and mainly focused on the issues of education financing while reviewing provisions of the national budget to assess its implications for the education sector.
