Manthan Award winning program “Hello MP!” was carried out simultaneously on 8th May, 2017 in three different locations of Bangladesh. Through Facebook video call, villagers from Matarpara, Poshchim Pabantair and Bashata, sought explanations of public activities and expressed concerns on national and local issues to Advocate Fazle Rabbi Mia, the Honorable Deputy Speaker of the parliament.
The unique ICT based program uses a laptop with internet to connect the grassroot with Members of Parliament and enable discussion. Mobile phone calls are used for uninterrupted voice communication, given the poor internet connectivity of some rural and remote areas.
