As the pandemic of COVID-19 caused economic crises in many countries all over the world, a large number of migrant workers from Bangladesh are losing their jobs. During such a crisis, women migrant workers face a higher risk of losing their livelihoods, having their human rights violated and contracting Coronavirus. This gives rise to the demand of reliable services for women migrants which only the Embassies in host countries can provide. By improving consular services, the Embassies can shape the governance of the migration cycle of female workers during crisis periods and beyond.
